Randy Forrester
Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals

I was born and grew up in Memphis, TN, where I was surrounded by the sounds of R&B and Soul music. Some of my relatives in RandyPeaceNashville, TN were deeply immersed in the country music scene. After my sister brought home “Meet the Beatles” in 1964, I asked my parents for a guitar and I was off and running. My sister was taking piano lessons during this period and I soon taught myself to play that instrument in addition to my guitar. I was playing professionally by the tender age of 13.

I studied music theory in college and decided to try to make a career out of music. I played with several local, regional and national acts in my early 20’s, and I played in a band called “Mis’sippi which had some North American success with the release of our one and only album. But, I was dissatisfied and ready to move on to better things, so I moved to Northern California in the early 1980’s.

Not long after arriving in California, blues guitar legend Elvin Bishop heard me play and offered me a position in his recording and touring band. For the next decade or so, I recorded 3 albums with Bishop on the Alligator Record label and toured internationally on a regular basis.

In the mid 1990’s, rock legend Eddie Money asked me to join his band, and for the next 12 years I toured non-stop with Money, performing no less than 100 shows per year. I played on a couple of albums with Money before taking on the task of producing his last studio album, WANNA GO BACK, in 2006.

Sick of airport, airplanes, tour buses and hotels I hung up my touring shoes in 2008 after more than 30 years.

I’ve written and recorded many songs along the way and my latest venture is Debby Street Music & Debby Street Publishing (ASCAP). I’m posting a few of my tunes and will be posting more as I write and record them. I plan to compose music for TV and Film, as well as writing songs for other artists. I record at Debby Street Studios, located in my Malibu home.

I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more of my music! Digital Downloads now available at CDBABY
